About me
Born and raised in the “DMV,” I’m passionate about foreign affairs, national security, strategic competition, irregular warfare (IW), information operations (IO), narrative warfare, stabilization, and governance, and the use of new/emerging technologies in these areas.
Throughout the course of my career I’ve had the opportunity to work in every region of the globe and meet people from all walks of life. In addition to my diplomatic and academic endeavors, I’ve also worked as a Senior Editor for the Strife Blog & Journal, associated with King’s College London’s War Studies Department, and Associate Editor of Defence Report.
I’m a member of the American Foreign Service Association and Information Professionals Association.
In addition to my native English, I speak Russian and Spanish, and some Arabic and French.
Separate from my professional career, I’m also a lifelong fan of basketball and football (both American and European), and all types of music. I play the drums and strive to have a good sense of humor.
